Overview
The Parts Crib Attendant will prioritize, organize, and facilitate the receiving of goods, consumables, maintenance supplies etc., to ensure a smooth transition of both incoming and outgoing freight/materials/plant waste. The Parts Crib Attendant will assist and garner direction from the Parts Crib Lead Attendant to fulfill any and all job responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists the Parts Crib Lead Attendant in completion of any and all job responsibilities;
- Maintains organization of maintenance tool room;
- Ensures all hand/power tools receive thorough inspection and are in working order;
- Ensures tool inventory is returned/accounted for at the end of each shift;
- Issues/monitors all new maintenance employees Nanshan supplied Tech bag and safety supplies;
- Issues and maintains confined space monitors;
- Receives/loads incoming/outgoing freight/material; reviews packing slips to ensure proper materials received/shipped;
- Monitors/tracks inventory/consumables for all departments;
- Adjusts min/max on-hand counts for all departments;
- Sets inventory bin locations;
- Monitors wash locations in plant and coordinate the disposal as needed. i.e. waste oil/water;
- Assists engineering with the identification/stocking of critical and non-critical spare parts; min/max quantities;
- Completes work orders in a safe and appropriate manner;
- Performs other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience;
- Manufacturing experience preferred; Preferred understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment to easily identify proper spare parts;
- Familiar with manufacturing, safety and quality process concepts, practices, and procedures;
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems in order to properly identify and ensure proper function of all maintenance tools (preferred);
- Must be able to use/identify basic hand tools;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work within a team environment;
- Strong time management skills;
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Fork Truck experience preferred.
